The rapid development of digital technology has significantly influenced students’ daily behavior, particularly in the ways they access entertainment, interact socially, and utilize digital devices. However, this advancement also brings new moral challenges, one of which is the rise of digital gambling activities among adolescents. Such behavior impacts not only their academic focus and learning motivation but also weakens self-control, emotional stability, and spiritual resilience. Previous studies have predominantly examined digital gambling from legal, psychological, or sociological perspectives. In contrast, research that specifically explores this issue through the framework of Islamic educational theology remains limited. This gap underscores the urgency and relevance of the present study. This research employs a library research method, drawing on various scholarly sources including books, journal articles, research reports, and both classical and contemporary references in Islamic educational theology. This method is intended to deeply explore theological concepts that can serve as a foundation for preventing digital gambling behavior among students. The novelty of this study lies in its perspective that prevention should not rely solely on prohibitive or normative approaches, but rather on the internalization of core theological values such as tawḥīd, trustworthiness, accountability (ḥisāb), and moral responsibility before God. These values are essential in shaping students’ religious character and strengthening their spiritual resilience in the digital era. The findings of this study contribute conceptually to the development of Islamic Religious Education and offer practical guidance for educators and institutions in cultivating stronger moral awareness and protective spiritual attitudes among students in the face of digital moral risks.
